Sexting Laws Reform Gains Steam

by dmatson on March 22, 2010

It is great to see some real movement in the goal to reform sexting laws. From the New York Times, to other local papers, news sources and smart commentators, the message is getting through. Punishing teens as sex offenders for sending suggestive photos of themselves or other teens is an insane overreach. It is criminalizing dumb behavior. Juvenile court, and education programs make sense. Life-long (and life-destroying) felony sex offender labeling does not make sense.
